1 Set up

Your team and squad, ready in minutes

Enter your team name, club, age group and season, then add your players with their positions and shirt numbers. Ember sets up your squad, calendar and tactics board around them.

  • Any match size, from 3 a side to 11 a sideSet how many players are on the field for each match, and pick from formations that fit.
  • Your club badge, and your rivals' badges tooAdd your badge once, and give each opponent theirs, so every fixture looks the part.
  • Join links for coaches, players and parentsAssistant coaches get the same squad, sessions and plans on their own phone, so they can take attendance or record a match too. Each player or parent gets their own link to follow just their player.

2 Before matchday

Know who's coming, before you pick the team

Players and parents tap Available or Not available on their own phone, and you see who's in, who's out and who hasn't answered yet. No more digging through unread messages.

  • Replies that close when you sayTurn replies on and choose when they close, from two days before to kickoff. For under 18s, a parent follows the player and gives the OK first.
  • Squad overview by positionMark injuries and suspensions yourself. See how many players are available in each position, and who's out and why.
  • Same team as last week, in one tapStart from the team you picked last match and only change what's different. Players who are out are listed last, so you pick from who's in.
  • Training attendance that adds upTake attendance at every session in seconds, and see each player's attendance across the season.

3 Matchday

Goals, cards and subs as they happen

Open the Recorder at kickoff and tap Goal, Goal against, Card or Sub as it happens, and tag how each goal was scored. The buttons are big enough for busy fingers on the touchline.

  • Quick notes while you watchTap Attack, Defence, Set piece, Chance, Injury or Note to jot down what you see, and read it back at halftime.
  • Minutes tracked for youEmber counts each player's minutes as you make subs, so you can share game time fairly and show it.
  • Match report and season statsAfter the whistle, go through the match report with the team. Goals, minutes and appearances add up on each player's profile, and the season page shows your leaders and how your goals were scored.
